The key partner executives come together on a monthly basis to agree priorities and how our work will be measured.
A formal decision-making body is yet to be established, however this is something which the partnership is working towards as part of the wider system reforms.
We know that a lot of what determines our health and wellbeing outcomes has little to do with the NHS directly. Things like housing, the level of education we reach, the type of job we get, if we get one at all. It’s difficult to live a healthy, fulfilling life if you’re worried about money, live in cold or damp conditions, or feel cut-off from those around you. We want to work together to focus firmly on these wider factors which influence health and wellbeing as well as on care issues. We also want to be a teaching and learning partnership. We will introduce a true focus on neighbourhood working in the following areas:
- Ormskirk and Aughton
- Skelmersdale and Upholland
- Burscough and the Northern Parishes
