Lancashire County Council 

The County Council recognises that close partnership working with people, communities and agencies in West Lancashire is vital to achieve real and sustained improvements for the health, wellbeing and protection of the population. The West Lancashire partnership successfully brings people and organisations together to turn local ambitions into reality.

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust 

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is committed to working with

partners across West Lancashire, where we believe our joint decisions should be driven, above all else, by what is best for local people. We will respect the views of our partners and seek to understand their respective positions. In return, we ask partners to be receptive to our requests regarding where we believe partner organisations can be part of solutions that best meet the needs of the people we serve.

NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group

The partnership is a priority for NHS West Lancashire CCG because we recognise that serious collaboration is key to solving some of the wicked problems that face all organisations including workforce challenges, finance and rising demand pressures. By working closely together we can align knowledge, expertise, workforce and money to re-design services so that they are better able to meet the needs of the local neighbourhood populations.

Primary care networks for Aughton and Ormskirk, Burscough and the Northern Parishes, and Skelmersdale and Upholland

The three Primary Care Networks in West Lancashire see being part of the West Lancashire Partnership as a priority as this will enable them to focus on improving

the health and wellbeing of the residents of West Lancashire by working in a joined-up way with every organisation involved in providing health and social care services.

The Council for Voluntary Services

As the local infrastructure (umbrella) organisation for the West Lancashire VCFSE

(voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector) one of our charitable aims is to support the bringing together of the VCFSE, public sector and health, education and training providers to improve the wellbeing of our community. Our active participation at the WLP and constant communication with the West Lancashire VCFSE will ensure the informed voice of the sector will be heard and that the sector is also supported to fully participate in the work of the WLP to improve the wellbeing of our community.

HCRG Care Group (formerly Virgin Care)

West Lancashire Partnership is a priority for HCRG Care Group as we want to support system working in West Lancashire, working with our Primary Care Networks and other partners to deliver an exceptional place-based out of hospital offer.

West Lancashire Borough Council

Membership of the West Lancashire Partnership provides an exciting opportunity

for West Lancashire Borough Council to strategically align its services with key partners in order to improve outcomes for our residents. The formation of the three West Lancashire Partnership neighbourhood networks is consistent with the Council’s place based approach to the delivery of community services which will result in a far more integrated, joined up approach for residents.

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust

Our partners across West Lancashire are essential to the Trust in developing and sustaining hospital services for local people. We’re proud to be part of the borough’s inclusive approach to health, care and wellbeing, and look forward to being part of that journey.

Lancashire Constabulary 

For Lancashire Constabulary, effective partnership working has been at the heart of community policing for over two decades and there are many examples where this has given positive outcomes. It is clear that many of the problems and issues that affect quality of life within our communities simply cannot be resolved by agencies working in isolation. Inclusion of policing within the West Lancashire Partnership will enable shared understanding of problems, and promote a truly collaborative approach to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour, health and social issues that affect the communities in West Lancashire, particularly those who are most vulnerable or in need of support. To develop effective collaborative working between public, private and third sector agencies that will promote shared understanding of problems and provide services and support at the heart of the community. Department of Work and Pensions

Being part of the West Lancashire Partnership enables the Department of Work and Pensions to support our objective of working collaboratively with partners, providers,

voluntary sector to support our customers in their journey to work. Develop purposeful relationships externally to support customers with complex needs to access the right support, prepare for, move into and stay in work. Using data and evidence to influence strategic priorities across the area, shape commissioning with key strategic partners. Recognising the changes in the way we deliver services and in our customer base to adapt our service delivery and approach to meet those needs.

Other partners are committed to helping to deliver this plan too and there will be more that we want to explore a conversation with about how they may support and play a role too.
